Delete your data
Last updated 22 September 2026
Fastest route. Email [email protected] from your registered address with the subject "Delete my data". We confirm within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
Option 1 — by email
- Email [email protected] from the address registered to your account
- Include your Instagram handle so we can locate the records
- We confirm receipt within 2 business days
Option 2 — revoke access from Instagram
You can cut Autogram off at the source at any time, without contacting us:
- Open Instagram and go to Settings → Apps and websites
- Find Autogram and choose Remove
Meta notifies us and we act on it immediately: all automation stops and the access token we hold is destroyed, so we can no longer reach Instagram on your behalf.
Revoking access is not by itself a deletion request. Records already captured stay until their retention window closes (see the privacy policy) — to have them erased now, use Option 1 above.
Option 3 — request deletion through Instagram
After removing Autogram, Instagram may offer Send Request to delete the data the app holds. That call reaches us as a signed deletion request. We return a confirmation code and this status page, stop automation immediately, and erase the Instagram user data we hold for that person within 30 days. If you also have an Autogram login, email us (Option 1) so we can close the account itself.
What an erasure request deletes
- Your account, email address, and profile details
- All Instagram access tokens we hold
- Connected Instagram account records
- Every campaign, keyword, and message template
- All collected leads and message delivery logs
- Technical delivery records (7 days, for troubleshooting)
- Any images or PDFs you uploaded as campaign attachments
That list is what an email request (Option 1) removes. An Instagram Send Request (Option 3) removes the Instagram user data we hold for that person — the access token, leads, and delivery logs — not a customer's Autogram login unless they also email us.
What we keep, and why
We retain payment and invoice records where Indian tax and accounting law requires it. These contain the transaction amount and date, not your Instagram data.
We also keep one tamper-evident audit record per erased account: the Instagram user id replaced by a one-way hash, with no profile, message, or lead data attached. It exists so a removed account cannot immediately re-register to evade enforcement, and the hash cannot be reversed back into your data.
How long it takes
- Immediately — automation stops and access tokens are revoked
- Within 30 days — everything above is permanently erased, including backups. The payment records and the hashed audit record described above are the only things kept.
